Carter is 6 weeks old today. I can't believe it. He started to smile last week which is just melting my heart. It is so rewarding! He also can pretty much hold his head up by himself & roll over on one side.
We haven't been to the doctor in 4 weeks but we decided to weigh Carter at home since Jordan & I were both curious to see how much he weighs. According to our scale he weighs 11 1/2 lbs! And I believe it. Baby boy is really starting to fill out.
We are still adjusting to life and Carter is now eating about every 2 to 2 1/2 hours which is still exhausting for a breastfeeding mother but it is getting better. Last week we decided that we want to start have Jordan give him one of the feedings (with me pumping). Jordan tried to give Carter a bottle but he will just not take it & gets really upset. We have tried 5 different nipples & and techniques but nothing seems to work right now. We will continue to try & just pray that he will soon take the bottle. Any suggestions that you have would be appreciated.
The pics are sooo cute.. He really is growing so big now. Fun times!
