Almost 9 months

So Carter is about a week from officially being 9 months old! We are super busy the next couple of weeks so I thought that since I had a couple of minutes tonight I would write a quick post.

Carter has mastered the "army crawl" and is still so close to the crawling without dragging his legs. He will figure it out and from what I have read it is perfectly normal for some babies to just army crawl and not the normal crawl (whatever that means right). Still so cute to watch. He is super quick and we are finding that we can't turn our backs on him anymore. He also is really getting good at pulling himself up on the window, coffee table, and chairs. Really over the past day or so we have noticed him getting bolder about doing these things. He also has learned to pull himself up from the sunken living room to the dinning room. We purchased some baby gates a couple of weeks ago & I think it is time for Jordan to install them especially since we have a 4 level split house.

We started slowly introducing him to table food (bananas, peas,& mashed potatoes) as well as jarred meat (yummy :) He is doing pretty good & is learning how to mash the food up with his tongue & gums.

Carter's is also about to get his 5th tooth! The top right tooth is just breaking through the skin! He has been handling this pretty well. He can also wave bye-bye and now we are trying to teach him how to blow kisses.

He has his 9 month wellness check up next week so we are anxious to see how much he weighs & how long he is. I know he is over 20lbs for sure and Jordan and I both think he grew a couple of inches over night this weekend.

We are really looking forward to the Petersen family coming to visit us this weekend. It has been way to long since we have seen them! Can't wait! We will be heading back to Davenport next Friday for my brother Rich's wedding reception. We are really looking forward to seeing family and friends. We haven't been back since Easter!

The pictures are from Carter's 9 month photo sessions we had yesterday... they turned out pretty well.
