Last Saturday Carter received his first (and probably not the last) black eye! He was standing on his Little Tikes chair (he knows he is not suppose to do this) he slipped and did a face plant into the plastic table. Of course mom was not home when this happened :) Jordan said he didn’t even cry for 30 seconds and that he was under the impression he was going to have a bruise on his check and even tried to ice it but Carter wanted nothing to do with it and went on playing.
The next morning not only did Carter have a black eye (neither of us were expecting this) but he had a SWOLLEN black eye and side of his check. I was more upset than him. Monday it was every color you can imagine (green, yellow, blue, and black) and by Wednesday the swelling is gone and the color is not as crazy. The pictures don’t do it justice at all but you get the idea.
Don’t mind his snotty nose and dirty face! We have a bruiser on our hands!
