7 Months

Can you believe it Carter is 7 months and will be 31 weeks on Tuesday! He is officially in his 6-12 month outfits and even some of those are beginning to be too small for him.

We have had a busy Spring so far. We were able to go back to Davenport for Easter. We had a great time spending time with family and friends. Carter was also able to meet his great-grandma Hayek for the first time (great-grandpa was at the doctor so was unable to meet us) and this meant a lot to all of us!

This past week our daycare provider was off for vacation. So luckily for us Grandma Wiebler was able to help out on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday morning. My Aunt Katie watched Carter the rest of Wednesday and Thursday and daddy stayed home with Carter on Friday. Carter loved being home and especially loved the one on one time.

Carter has mastered sitting up (if you put him in the position) and is learning how to pull himself into a sitting position from his back. If he has the boppy or a pillow behind him he can pull himself up. He continues to roll all over the place. Which is pretty hilarious to watch. He is also slowly trying to figure out how to crawl. He can pull himself up on all fours but is trying to get the arm/leg coordination down. Right now he just kind of rocks. He also gets very frustrated when he can't reach a toy or get to where he wants to go and lets you know he is frustrated. He is blabbing up a storm to us and is so interested in all of his surroundings. Anything and everything he trys putting in his mouth. We are learning that you can't turn your back on him for too long and know that life will change once he is mobile.

Now that the weather is nice we have been trying to take him on walks as much as we can. Which he loves. He is enjoying his baby food daily and we are getting ready to start him on "stage" 2 baby food. Carter's top 2 front teeth are bulging and we are waiting for them to come through anyday now. Once they do he will have 5 teeth!

I am back to work full time now which, has been an adjustment (especially in the morning) but I am starting to adjust and Carter is too. Daycare is still going OK. Some days are better than others. We are finding that life right now is all about Carter and is on Carter time.
