Carter is half way through his first year of his life! The past 6 months have been the hardest and most amazing months of my life. Jordan and I continue to be amazed by Carter everyday and feel so blessed to have him as our son.
We had Carter's 6 month wellness check up today. Carter weighs 17lbs 14 ounces and is 27 inches long (both are in the 50-70 percentile for his age). We are SO happy with his weight progress considering everything the poor little guy has gone through the past two months (daycare and not eating and RSV). Carter received his third round of vaccination shots as well as the Influenza and H1N1 shot (you have to be 6 months to receive these). Again, this was harder on me than it was on him. Our main focus right now is to keep him healthy!
For those of you that don't know Carter has been taking a bottle at daycare! He is taking about 10 to 12 ounces a day while he is at daycare and is not fighting it anymore. This is such a relief for Jordan and I. He also is loving baby food especially green beans and squash.
It is so much fun watching Carter be interested in his surroundings and be so curious about things. He is rolling all over the place and is SO close to sitting up on his own. He is even starting to get on all fours and rock a little. We are looking forward to the Spring & being able to take Carter outside to explore and do things as a family.
We are looking forward to the Petersen family coming to visit us this weekend. We haven't seen them since Christmas and we really miss the girls.
The pictures are from Carter's 6 month photo session and we think they turned out great!
HE'S SOO HANDSOME!!!!! HAPPY 6 MONTHS CARTER!! SO GLAD TO HEAR HE'S FINALLY TAKING HIS BOTTLE AT DAYCARE, WAY TO GO. WE MISS YOU!
