Yes, my baby is almost a 1 1/2 (Jordan wants to know when we get to the point where we say "we have a 1 1/2 year old" instead of saving "he is 16 months etc". It just reminds me how fast my little guy is growing up. I can't believe it.
We have been super busy and are really busy now until March. We have family in town 2 weekends in February and will be going to Iowa and Jamaica in March. Once February hits I am going to start slowly getting ready for our tropical vacation!
We had Carter's 15 month wellness appointment last week (it was a month overdue just because of the holidays but no worries). He was 31 1/2 inches and weighed 22 lbs 2oz
Jordan and I were shocked at his weight we thought he had gained more than that (he only gained 1 lb 2 oz since his 12 month appointment). He had been eating NON stop so we were really surprised. Again, the doctor is not concerned and he is doing just great. We just have a long & lean boy :)He also received 4 shots (no tears!) and we were informed that he won't have anymore shots till he is 2!
The other major thing going on with Carter his is teething. The right bottom, top left, and bottom left molars are now in and while those were coming in the bottom two "eye" teeth (I think that is what they are called) came in. So we have 3 teeth to go and all of his teeth will be in except for the 2 year molars but we hope those hold off for awhile. Carter really has been a trooper and dealing with it well. He continues to sleep great. He is even going down still awake & putting himself to sleep. I finally feel normal!
Carter has learned the work "uh o" and is so darn cute when he says it. He now can say all of the following words: mama, dada, dog, ball, hot, hi, bye, and uh o. He loves books and when you ask him where the ball, dog, cat, or baby is he points to them and is correct. If you ask him where is your belly, nose, or ear is he points to that too. The other cute thing he is doing is grabbing your hand and pulling you to whatever he wants you to get. We are also in the process of finishing the toy room. Everything non-baby is moved out but we just need to paint (we are painting the bottom half with chalk board paint) and we need another toy box. We are taking our time on this as we have plenty of Winter days of ahead of us for projects.
We took Carter last weekend to get his second haircut and we had them take off a little more this time as it grew way to fast. He did great and he looks so handsome. We are going to take Carter to the zoo this weekend.
Sorry for the quick post but I have to go to work and not sure when I will have time. PS - the pictures from the dryer are funny.... I was folding the landry and he kept trying to climb in the dryer and since I was right there I let him (the door to the landry room is locked so he has no way of getting into this room unless he is with us). Jordan grabbed the camera and we took him right out!
So cute, he's got some rosy cheeks! He's becoming such a handsome little man, miss you all! Love the laundry pic ;)
