3 Months

Carter is 3 months old I know I say it a lot but I can't believe how fast the past 13 weeks have gone. Carter now weighs 15 lbs and is 25 inches long. He is a growing boy. Some of his 3-6 month outfits I just starting putting him in a couple of weeks ago are too small. I am anxious to see what everyone who hasn't seen him since Thanksgiving thinks.

This past Tuesday we went to a Christmas party at our daycare provider's house Janet. It was so great to meet all of the families. Everyone was so inviting and had great things to say about Janet. The majority of the families are in the ad agency business which is a plus for me. The week after Christmas we are going to do a couple of trial runs, with me dropping Carter off for a couple of hours & most importantly having him at Janet's during a couple of feedings to see how the bottle thing goes. She assured me that we will get through this & that it is important for me not to worry & she will make sure Carter is ok. I feel great about the person and environment Carter is going to be with while we work. I am just having a lot of anxiety about leaving him and the bottle situation. Everyone says this is normal and I should be fine after some tears and a week or so of work. The plan is to work 5 hour work days the first couple of weeks and make adjustments as needed. Everyone wish me luck on January 4.

We are heading back to Iowa next week and are looking forward to Carter's first Christmas & celebrating with family & friends. Everyday we have something going on so it is going to be hectic. I am just praying that Carter stays healthy.

This weekend is the Hayek side family Christmas (Jordan's mom side) in Cedar Falls. Unfortunately, I don't think Carter and I will be able to go. With him still not 100% healthy & with a long road trip a couple of days later we think it is best for us to stay home. The plan is to have Jordan go & represent our family.

We wish everyone a safe and Happy Holiday season!
