5 1/2 Months

Can you believe it Carter is 5 1/2 months! The weeks just keep flying and our baby boy continues to amaze us everyday. He now has 3 teeth (all on the bottom) and Jordan and I are waiting for another one to come through any day now. Carter has been drooling like crazing and anything and everything he puts in his hands goes right up to his mouth.

We finally have a healthy household and hope to keep Carter healthy for awhile. Carter is so close to sitting up by himself and can for about 20 to 30 seconds by himself before he falls forward. I think he will have this mastered within the next couple of weeks. Daddy thinks he is going to be an early crawler and I would have to agree :)

Jordan's cousin Curt and his wife Cari and their children Lexi and Luke were in Minneapolis last weekend so they were able to meet Carter and we were able to hang out for awhile. We had a great time! (the first picture is of Luke, Cari, & Carter)

Grandma and Bompa Wiebler got back from Mexico this past Thursday and spent a couple of extra days with us. They got to spend Friday with Carter while Jordan and I worked and enjoyed every second. Carter definitely knows who is Grandma and Bompa are. We all went out on Friday night and celebrated my mom and my birthdays. We had a great dinner and it was so nice spending time with my them! Happy Birthday mom we love you!

We also started to try baby food last weekend... the pediatrician gave us the okay to start "orange" colored baby food. So we have tried sweet potatoes, carrots, and squash. Carter wasn't quite sure about it at first and still isn't so sure but he did enjoy the squash we gave him yesterday and didn't spit any out. We will continue to give him baby food and know that he will get the hang of it.

We are looking forward to Grandpa and Grandma Gorsh visitng in a couple of weeks and The Petersen family is also visiting us in March. We are going to be back in Davenport Easter weekend and are really looking forward to that since we have not been home since Christmas.
